The whole of the UK seemed to stop today. Why? Snow, that’s why. I know us Brits are suckers for a spot of snow! Any excuse not to go into work. Lazy gits. Whilst the commute to the office normally takes me 50 mins, today, it took over double that.
But before I even had time to unleash my frustration out on fellow co-workers with an hour’s rant about Rory McIlroy’s winning instinct and Mark O’Mera’s ridiculous albeit slightly misinterpreted quote (see yesterdays blog) this landed in my inbox. “When the Golf stops the fun begins”. When I went on the website what a delight! The UK based golf club, Cold Ashby, have turned their white covered hilly course into a ski resort. You can buy a day’s ski pass for £15. They even offer ski instruction, ski lifts and equipment hire.
I thought this must be a joke? So I rang them up and sure enough, it was true! So when the golf stops, the skiing starts at Cold Ashby Golf Club. Bloody brilliant. Well done those people.
If only all clubs were as efficient with tee time yield management!
